The Story of the Gateway, told local style!
Aloha Aunties, Uncles and Keiki! Let me tell you how the Gateway got its name. You know our islands are in the middle of the big Pacific. Some people say we the “Gateway” between the East and West. Well, here in Laie, we are known as a gathering place for everyone on Oahu. Everyone from mauka to makai (mountains to the ocean) is welcome at our table!
We invite you to be members of our ohana (family) to share in an ono (tasty) feast in celebration of the rich bounty of our land and sea.
