    What time does the Polynesian Cultural Center open?  

    Monday-Saturday, 12:00 – 9:00 pm 
    Closed Sundays, Wednesdays, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day 

    What time does the Ticketing office open?

    What time does the Hukilau Marketplace open?  

    Monday-Saturday, 11:00 am –9:00 pm

    The Stores in the Marketplace are open until 7:30 pm.

    Independent food trucks and kiosks choose their own hours.  

    The gates close after all guests have left from the HĀ: Breath of Life show.

    What time does HĀ: Breath of Life show begin?

    “Hā: Breath of Life” Show Runtime:  7:30 pm – 8:45 pm
    Seating begins at 7:00 pm.

    Are there food options in the Islands? 

    Yes. There are three options while the Islands are open (1:00 pm to 5:30 pm)

    Samoa Snack Shack (Samoa Village):
    1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

    Tonga Snacks (Tonga Village):
    1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

    Kiwi Grill (Aotearoa Village):
    1:00 pm – 4:30 pm

    You may also go to the Hukilau Marketplace 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, eat at Pounders Restaurant, or use the individual food trucks and kiosks.  

    What time does Pounders Restaurant open? 

    Monday – Saturday: 11:00 am – 8:30 pm 
    Closed Sundays.

    Are reservations required for Pounders Restaurant?  

    No, reservations are not required, but if you are bringing a group larger than 6, reservations are recommended. Please call: 808-293-3287

    What are the food options at the Polynesian Cultural Center?  

    You may order the Aliʻi Lūʻau or the Gateway Buffet when you order your Super Ambassador Lūʻau, Aliʻi Lūʻau package, or Gateway Buffet package.  

    You may also use the Hukilau Marketplace Food Trucks and kiosks which are open from 11 am to 8:30 pm.  

    You may eat at Pounders Restaurant in the Hukilau Marketplace which provides indoor seating with or without reservations.  

    There are also snack shops within the Island areas; open 1 pm to 5:30 pm.

    “Hands-on” Activities
    12:30 pm – 5:30 pm
    Try your hand at throwing a spear or learn to cook in an umu (Samoan aboveground oven) at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Eight new hands-on activities have been introduced to the Center’s popular daytime experiences to give guests the chance to actively participate in several traditional Polynesian aspects of daily life, including games, crafts, cooking and ceremonies.

    Mission Settlement

    The 1850s Hawaiian Mission Settlement is comprised of a small non-denominational chapel, an open-sided Polynesian-style school house and a rock-walled missionary home which features many handmade and quilted items for sale

    Huki: A New Canoe Celebration, canoe pageant
    12:40 pm – 1:00 pm
    A one of a kind pageant on the water! Each island puts on a beautiful representation of their dance and music on large platform canoes as you watch from various viewing areas along the lagoon

    Laie and Temple Visitors Center Tour
    3:00 pm – 6:40 pm
    Take a bus tour of Brigham Young University – Hawaii, the town of Lāʻie, and the Lāʻie Hawaii Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located next to the Polynesian Cultural Center.

    Hawaiian Journey
    1:30 pm (first show)
    Last showing at 6:30 pm, Japanese language version show at 5:00 pm. The movie lasts approximately 12 minutes.

    Inclement Weather Notice
    In the event of inclement weather, events and indoor shows will continue to operate, including all Village presentations, the Aliʻi Lūʻau, Island Buffet, and the Hā: Breath of Life Evening show. For the safety and comfort of our guests and staff, some outdoor events and presentations may temporarily close until the weather improves and it is safe to resume activities.

  • Hukilau Marketplace

    What is in the Hukilau Marketplace?  

    Hukilau Marketplace, at the entrance of the Polynesian Cultural Center, is free to the public and open 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, Monday – Saturday (Closed Wednesdays and Sundays). It includes a variety of shops for personal, travel, or souvenir items. A variety of International Food Trucks are also available within the Marketplace. Entrance to the Marketplace is Free and Free parking is included. 

  • Evening Show

    What time does HĀ: Breath of Life show begin? 

    7:30 pm – 8:45 pm  

    Seating begins at 7:00 p.m. All seats are reserved. Advance reservations are highly recommended.  Video recording and photography during the show is prohibited. 

    How do I get tickets for only the HĀ: Breath of Life show?  

    You cannot order tickets online. You must call Ticketing +1-808-367-7060: select option 1.

    What is the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame?  

    The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame honors Polynesia’s greatest players, coaches and contributors. T Reflecting Polynesia architectural design, the Hall of Fame gallery features lava stones, koa and ohia wood, accents of traditional fabrics, and includes photos, memorabilia, and an interactive display.  The permanent exhibit is within the Welcome Center, next to the Hukilau Marketplace; admission and parking are FREE. 

  • Dining Options

    There are many places to dine at the Polynesian Cultural Center. During the day guests may stop at any of our snack bars located throughout our island villages or at our Hukilau Marketplace. For dinner, guests can feast in our award-winning Aliʻi Lūʻau, or our Gateway Buffet. Reservations are required to attend our Aliʻi Lūʻau and Gateway Buffet.

    Aliʻi Lūʻau
    4:40 pm – 6:30 pm

    Aliʻi Lūʻau seating begins at 4:40 pm. The Aliʻi Lūʻau is a traditional Hawaii Luau which begins at approximately 5:05 pm with the regal Royal Hawaiian Court procession and the presentation of the imu-roasted pork (pork cooked in the traditional Hawaiian underground oven).  We encourage you to arrive on time and enjoy the entire lūʻau experience.     Gateway Buffet
    4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
