A new and exclusive cooking experience in the Islands of Samoa.
Using a traditional Samoan umu (ground oven), you now have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the Polynesian culture by preparing your very own home-cooked island feast! Your Samoan host, Creasepaul or one of his village family, will guide you through each step of the experience from beginning to end. From building and making fire by rubbing sticks, firing the ground oven, and preparing the various Samoan cuisine, to placing them in the umu.
Why come all the way to the islands, only to never truly experience it? This is the perfect opportunity to get an intimate look inside the Polynesian culture. This offer, held on select mornings during the week, is designed so that participants are able to have a true, hands on experience….where casual conversations are the rule rather than the exception. Reservations are exclusively offered through Airbnb Experiences. Registration is kept at 10 guests or less.

While the umu continues to heat you will be shown the process of preparing bread fruit.

With those delicious dishes all prepared you will try your hand at weaving your own coconut-leaf plate.
