Celebrate 50 Years of Hawai‘i Statehood With Savings at the Polynesian Cultural Center

Statehood Special Offers 50 Percent Off Kamaʻaina Annual Pass

La‘ie, Hawai‘i – April 14, 2009 – The Polynesian Cultural Center invites kamaʻāina to celebrate Hawaiʻi's golden anniversary of statehood with its Statehood Special from April 13 to August 31. During the Statehood Special, residents with a valid Hawai‘i ID can purchase Kama‘aina Annual Passes at a special discount of 50 percent off the regular price of $40.  Annual pass holders are entitled to a year full of entertainment and fun for the whole family. In addition, guests of annual pass holders can receive a 20 percent discount on their packages – just in time for summer.

"What better time to rediscover all that Hawaiʻi has to offer than during its 50th anniversary of statehood?" said Ray Magalei, director of marketing for the PCC.  "We know that many kamaʻāina are opting for ‘staycations' to save a little money and hope they consider a visit to the PCC."

Annual pass holders can take advantage of the best Polynesia has to offer— including free admission to seasonal events and festivals, such as the World Fireknife Championships and Christmas in Polynesia. In October, the pass also entitles holders to one free ride per day for PCC's newest Halloween event, the exciting ‘Haunted Lagoon'. Pass holders also receive unlimited general admission to all island villages and exhibits, the Rainbows of Paradise canoe pageant, seating at the spectacular Horizons night show (upon availability), and complimentary parking (a $6 value).

The offer is valid from April 13 through August 31, 2009 and can be purchased at the PCC with proof of Hawai‘i residency.  The 20 percent package discount for visiting family and friends applies to up to four guests per annual pass holder per visit all year long.  Visiting guests must be accompanied by the annual pass holder with a photo ID and the discount cannot be combined with any other offers.
